This online day of giving, hosted by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, is the perfect opportunity to show our community that you care about our local state parks. And this year, we have a feel-good project that is a continuation of the hard work by our Volunteer Garden Club over the past few summers.

The Sierra State Parks Foundation has a long history supporting the Hellman-Ehrman Estate, including reports and analysis of the gardens and grounds on the estate. In 2018 and 2019, SSPF helped fund major garden restoration efforts in front of the mansion. Since that time our Volunteer Garden Club has been working with California State Parks to maintain the historic gardens.
The historic gardens at the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion are a centerpiece of Sugar Pine Point State Park, and they need your help to truly flourish. This Big Day of Giving, we’ve set a goal to raise $2,500 to purchase native wildflowers, mulch, and essential supplies to plant and maintain the garden.
These blooms won't just beautify the park...they’ll restore the lush, vibrant landscape that the Hellman-Ehrman family once enjoyed.
