The fresh pavement is riding smooth, new flashing beacons are making crossings safer and easier, and crews are continuing work to improve this incredible community asset along Lake Tahoe’s West Shore. This year we’re turning our focus to rebuild 1.4 miles of trail between Tahoe City and Sunnyside with safety, accessibility, and long-term durability in mind. Thank you to the North Tahoe Community Alliance TOT-TBID Dollars at Work for project funding support.

Lake Tahoe ospreys are iconic summer raptors, known for diving directly into the water to hunt fish. Seeing them is a great sign as they are vital indicators of the lake's ecological health! Often confused with Bald Eagles, which also live in the basin, ospreys are noticeably smaller, have a white belly and head, and feature a dark brown "bandit mask" stripe through their eyes. You can find them around Emerald Bay State Park, D.L. Bliss State Park, and around the Truckee River.

We are very happy to announce The California Honeydrops will headline Gamblers Run Music Festival on July 25th. 🤯 It's always a serious party when these guys hit the stage! This will round out the three incredible headliners that will grace the outdoor stage at the Crystal Bay Casino from July 23rd-July 25th!

At 3:00 p.m. yesterday, our team gathered in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We were honored to hear words from our own veteran, Dennis, before he performed Taps; a powerful tribute rooted in reflection, gratitude, and respect. This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women whose service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
