Satya: truthfulness, begins with yourself. It is the practice of honestly examining yourself and being critical of how you see others for it helps us to see our faults and correct them. While physical movement has become synonymous with yoga, it is not the whole of the practice. Learning this and admitting ignorance, then choosing to learn more is one way to practice satya. Every day we learn new things as we study and practice. Admitting that which was learned as incorrect and unlearning is part of the journey. Satya is expressing truth at the right moment so its effects are positive.

Did you know the tags on the bears mean something? For California, the color of the tag refers to the geological region where the bear was captured and tagged. Female bears will have tags on their left ear, and males on their right ear! Also, if you see a collar on a bear, it means the bear is being monitored. If it looks too tight, fret not. It is supposed to be snug to prevent the bear from shrugging it off, and the collars have been budgeted for them to grow into during the fall. And now you know! 🐻🤓
