❄️ Storm Update: Temporary Closures Ahead ❄️
With significant snow in the forecast, a couple of temporary closures are planned to keep everyone safe and to set us up for great conditions once the storm passes.
⛸️ Tahoe City Winter Sports Park
• Closed Monday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 17
• Delayed opening on Wednesday, February 18 to 12pm as crews complete snow removal
🚤 Lake Forest Boat Ramp
• Closed Monday, February 16 through Wednesday, February 18
• Delayed opening on Thursday, February 19 to 10am as crews complete snow removal

Tahoe City Public Utility District (TCPUD) announced today that it has secured $3.15 million in federal funding to complete the final phase of the Madden Creek Water System Reconstruction Project, a critical investment in water system reliability and community safety for the Homewood community.

Through the leadership of Congressman Kevin Kiley and Senator Alex Padilla, TCPUD was awarded $1.25 million in Congressionally Directed Spending for Fiscal Year 2026. An additional $1.9 million grant was approved by the U.S. Forest Service through the recently re-authorized Lake Tahoe Restoration Act. Together, these funds will support long-planned upgrades to aging water infrastructure and strengthen the system’s ability to deliver reliable drinking water and support fire suppression.

Second Fridays continue in February with Galentine’s Day on Feb. 13 in Tahoe City, the West Shore, and Alpine Meadows with fun, festive entertainment, activities, specials and more.
