The sun is still sunny and the days still get warm in September and October, but the energy has shifted. The transition into Autumn includes cooler nights, wind and threats of rain. We still offer outdoor sessions with the option to move to the studio if conditions aren’t comfortable. When on the beach or lake it can feel like we have the whole place to ourselves. If your considering and Autumn getaway or celebration to Tahoe prepare for conditions and know that we have no control over the weather. Wherever we end up practicing we’ll hold space for you to have the best experience possible.

As fall approaches, black bears enter a biological phase called hyperphagia, which literally translates to "extreme eating." Right now, bears are on a non-stop quest to bulk up before winter. They consume up to 20,000 to 24,000 calories every single day! That's nonstop foraging and eating for 20-22 hours to put on 2-4 pounds of fat per day.

Driven by intense hunger, they frequently roam outside their normal home territory, searching for calorie-dense nuts, berries, acorns, and salmon.
Because they're hyper-focused on food right now, remember to secure your trash, outdoor pet food, bird feeders, etc! Help keep our bears wild! 🐻

After saluting the sun this group settled into savasana while the clouds cleared and enjoyed the rays as they rested. Usually, things work out when you practice yoga. This bachelorette party had planned for paddle yoga, but when we shifted the session to their location because of cool temps and wind, they lucked out and got a detoxifying practice on the deck.
