We've got a game at Mott called MOTTZEE. Here's how it works. You pay $1 for every bartender on shift — that's how many rolls of 5 dice you get. Roll five of a kind and you win the entire pot. That's a MOTTZEE. Roll four of a kind, we buy you a drink. Every dollar you pay goes straight into the pot. The pot keeps growing until someone wins. We seed it with $25 when it resets. The biggest pot we've ever paid out was over $8,000. You can play once a day, every day we're open. Ask your bartender what the pot's looking like tonight.

This support will help power our signature fall fundraiser and fan-favorite, A Liar's Cruise, and a new educational series on the water, Tahoe Talks on the Water! Both on the @Tahoe Gal! 🛥️

Matsya (Fish in Sanskrit) was the first Avatar of Vishnu in Hinduism.
It is said that, during the Satya Yuga, the people on earth had become irreligious and disorderly in the way they lived their lives. This is when the Gods collectively decided to flood the earth.
The fish (an avatar of Vishnu) instructed Satyavrata (manu) to build an ark to take “all medicinal herbs, all the varieties of seeds, and accompanied by the seven saints” along with the serpent Vasuki and other animals.
As the time of the flood approached, Manu’s ark was complete. As the flood swept over the land, Manu asked Vishnu why mankind had to meet such a deadly fate to which Matsya (Vishnu) told Manu that he was the only moral man alive, and that he would be the father of the future generations of human being.
Sound familiar?
Matsyasana is more than an asana. It's an opportunity to remind yourself of your ability to protect, connect and be a moral human.
Practice this asana with an intention of embodying Satyavrata.

Outside, the evening takes over… twinkle lights overhead, drinks by the fire, and conversations that last a little longer.
