Lara Pearson, aka Lara the Lawyer who Loves Law, moved to Incline Village in 1998 while she was still in law school. She first interned for the Honorable Justice Miriam Shearing on the Nevada Supreme Court and then for the Nevada State Public Defender's Office before graduating from Northeastern University School of Law in the spring of 1999. Lara was licensed to practice law in Nevada that same year as well and has practiced trademark law from Incline Village ever since.

Incline Village Music Teacher Gets 2nd Chance at Opera (by Ashleigh Goodwin)
INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — In 2019 local music teacher and owner of Village Music, Brad Perry, suffered the tragic unexpected death of his wife and mother of his children. Instead of flying to Italy to attend a prestigious training program for opera singers his wife was being care flighted to Renown to fight for her life. His opera career took a back seat when he became a single father.

Three years later, Perry has been invited to The Summer Program in Italy again.

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Todd Lowe was rowing his dingy around Lake Tahoe when he came upon locals pouring buckets of lake water back into the lake as a metaphorical Tahoe Tea Party revolt against the unfair property taxes placed on Incline Village homeowners.

“That was the beginning of the Nevada Property Tax Revolt,” said Lowe, the now president of The Village League.

The League was originally started by the late Maryanne Ingemanson and Ted Harris, who Lowe happened upon at the Burnt Cedar Beach back in 2003.
