It's about feeling; physically, energetically, emotionally and mentally. Your practice should include preparation: breathing, physical awakening, and mental direction. Before accessing any posture, the aspects of it should already be established in you. After experiencing sthira sukham asanam, then you can begin to explore other variations and deeper engagement in the practice.
