Why practice yoga outdoors? Studios are designed to reduce distractions. They are supposed to be quiet, peaceful sanctuaries where you can engage in the practices of yoga with little distraction. Outdoors we have to put more effort into focusing upon the practices. We have to withdraw our attention from all of the information our senses are drawing in. When we apply that which we learn in the studio to our lives we begin to develop sadhana. The more often you practice yoga outside of the studio, the closer to yoga you become.
