Today I’m delivering hot meals to my elderly neighbors in the community. Much needed — especially after all that snow we received over the past few weeks.
Did you know? Sierra Senior Services delivers nutritious meals to older adults facing food insecurity that reduces isolation and enables them to continue living independently for as long as safely possible.
To qualify for Meals on Wheels America, a person must be 60 years of age or older and unable to shop for or prepare their own meals. All deliveries are made by dedicated volunteers who drive nine routes covering the entire Truckee Community, Kings Beach, Tahoe City, the Placer County portion of the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, Incline Village and Crystal Bay.
