Step into Winter Wonderland: Fresh Tracks 5K Snowshoe Walk and Race

Winter is here, and if you've never experienced the magic of snowshoeing, now is your chance to dive into the winter wonderland that is Tahoe! The Tahoe Mountain Milers Running Club proudly presents the Fresh Tracks 5K Snowshoe Walk and Race on Sunday, February 25 at 10 a.m., set against the breathtaking backdrop of Historic Camp Richardson Resort.

Snowshoeing for Everyone!

If you can walk, you can snowshoe. Forget about racing against the clock; this event is all about having fun in the snow. Whether you're a seasoned snowshoer or a first-time snow walker, this event is tailored for everyone. So, lace up those snowshoes and join in for a memorable day in the snow.

Early Birds Catch the Savings

Sign up by February 22 to enjoy a $10 discount on your registration fee. Don't worry if you don't own a pair of snowshoes; you can reserve them in advance or bring your own.

A Cause Worth Striding For

Fresh Tracks 5K Snowshoe Walk and Race is not just about the thrill of winter sports; it's about making a difference. This event supports the fight against Metastatic Breast Cancer, honoring local heroes like Rene Gorevin, Dr. Kelly Shanahan, Adrienne Shepard and other remarkable Tahoe women.

What's Included?

The $35 early pre-registration fee (plus processing fee) unlocks a world of perks, including event swag, snowshoe rental (if needed), post-race refreshments and continued day use of the groomed Camp Richardson trails. On-site registration is also available on the day of the race for $45 at the Ice Cream Parlor.

Competition with a Twist

For those who love a challenge, unique age-group awards are up for grabs, going three deep. Celebrate your accomplishment with sausages hot off the barbecue, veggie chili, fruit, cookies, and cocoa – it's a party in the snow!

No Snow, No Problem

In case of no snow, the event seamlessly transforms into a scenic trail walk/run. They will not cancel for a lack of snow.
