It's no surprise that adventure seekers and nature lovers flock to this region all year round, but there's more to this place than just outdoor adventures. With a calendar packed full of exciting events, Lake Tahoe is an amazing destination to experience a variety of music, film, art and culture. WinterWonderGrass
Friday, March 31 to Sunday, April 2 in Palisades Tahoe
Blasting off with a Thursday Kickoff Show in The Village at Palisades Tahoe, WinterWonderGrass is here! A weekend of music, brews and mountains with bluegrass and Americana favorites, this is an experience like no other. With 25 bands across four stages, the lineup is sure to satisfy all audiences, featuring WinterWonderGrass veterans Trampled by Turtles and Greensky Bluegrass plus newcomers Marcus King, The Main Squeeze and The Lone Bellow. Enjoy daily beer, whiskey and spiked seltzer complimentary tastings for those 21 and older from 3 to 5 p.m. WinterWonderGrass is a family-friendly event, and children 12 and younger get in free.

Wild & Scenic Film Festival
Saturday, April 1 in South Lake Tahoe
Hosted by the Sierra Nevada Alliance, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival features award-winning environmental and adventure films combined with the energy of local activism. The festival provides an opportunity for attendees to support their local advocates for the environment and inspire viewers to take further action regarding issues impacting our environment, ourselves and the world. The event takes place at Lake Tahoe Community College on Saturday, April 1 from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $15 for students and $10 for kids ages 10 and younger. There is also a "Video On Demand" ticket for $20 that allows you to watch the festivities from the comfort of your own home for five days.
Banff Mountain Film Festival
Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 in South Lake Tahoe
The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival is an international film competition and annual presentation of films and documentaries about mountain culture, sports, environment and adventure exploration. Featuring seven short films with a total running time of 90 minutes, this event promises to be an inspiring and thought-provoking experience. The festival takes place at Bally's in South Lake Tahoe on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $17.
The stunning imagery at the Banff Film Festival is reason enough to go.
Tahoe Tattoo Show
Friday, April 14 to Sunday, April 16 in South Lake Tahoe
Featuring top tattoo artists in a top destination, the Tahoe Tattoo Show is an event you don't want to miss. With 160 tattoo artists and awesome vendors selling clothing, art, prints and local artwork, this is the perfect opportunity to get tattooed by the best artists in the industry while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Lake Tahoe. The event takes place from April 14 to 16 at Harrah's Lake Tahoe.
LUNAFest
Thursday, April 27 in Tahoe City
LUNAFest is a traveling film festival brought to Lake Tahoe by Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema. The festival amplifies the inspiring short films by a talented selection of women and gender-nonconforming directors. This year’s featured filmmakers are from all walks of life and range from poets to conservationists, activists and educators. Their stories remind us that when we come together, we all move forward. The festival is on Thursday, April 27, starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30.
