East Shore Trail Bike Ride
Often called “America’s Most Beautiful Bikeway,” the Lake Tahoe East Shore Trail is a must-ride for cyclists looking to take in breathtaking lake views, explore scenic coves, and enjoy some of Tahoe’s most beautiful shoreline.
Starting in Incline Village, this paved trail follows Lake Tahoe’s eastern shoreline toward Sand Harbor State Park, offering a scenic ride with access to public beaches and incredible views along the way. Stretching just under 3 miles one way, the 10-foot-wide path features an easy-to-moderate route that’s great for a leisurely ride. Along the way, 25 educational panels highlight the area’s history, geology, native plants, and wildlife. The trail is open year-round, but April through November is generally the best time to pedal along the shoreline and enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery.
