Business Speaks
The Truckee Chamber of Commerce is inviting businesses and their key employees to come together for 90 minutes on June 19, 20 and 21 for the next round of free Business Speaks meetings. Businesses will have the opportunity to share ideas, give input, and take action on the following agenda:
- Help shape the Employee Co-op (Truckee Connects) Project designed to help employers find workers and fill jobs. Businesses and their key employees will be able to collaborate with their business peers on first project deliverables, weigh in on the project name, and join the project team.
- Hear and provide input on Infrastructure Projects such as roads, sidewalks, roundabouts and more that may impact your business locations. Businesses and their key employees will be able to share what they like, what needs to be changed, and what’s missing?
- Network with Business Colleagues.
All businesses and their key employees are invited (Brick and mortar, home-based, non-profits, special districts, individuals) to attend a meeting in the Base Camp business area where their business is physically located, however attendance at any meeting that is convenient is also encouraged.
All meetings are inclusive; you don’t need to be a Chamber member to attend. Meetings last just 90 minutes and are professionally facilitated with a format designed to allow businesses to speak candidly, while fostering conversation that can lead to creative solutions. Meetings take place at the following times and locations:
- Tuesday, June 19 – 8:00-9:30 am
- Base Camp #1 - Tahoe Donner area: Tahoe Donner Clubhouse
- Base Camp #3, #4 - West River / Sierra College area: Community Recreation Center
- Wednesday, June 20 – 8:00-9:30 am
- Base Camp #2 - Gateway / Donner Pass Road / Donner Lake area: Hampton Inn & Suites
- Wednesday, June 20 – 4:00-5:30 pm
- Base Camp #6,#8,#9 - The Rock / Sierra Meadows/ Pioneer Commerce Center / Glenshire area: Hampton Inn & Suites
- Base Camp #11 - Donner Summit area: Soda Springs Ski Resort Lodge
- Thursday, June 21 – 8:00-9:30 am
- Base Camp #5 - Downtown area: Truckee Tahoe Airport
- Thursday, June 21 – 4:00-5:30 pm
- Base Camp #7,#10 - Airport District / Northstar / Martis Valley areas: Truckee Tahoe Airport
