Classy Classics Concert Series
The Tahoe Symphony kicks off its Summer Concert Season with the Classy Classics, a series of performances featuring Ukrainian-born violinist, Alex Eisenberg, performing Ludwig van Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D major, one of the finest and most popular gems in the concerto repertoire.
The show opens with the first movement from Vivaldi’s Concerto for 2 Trumpets, before transitioning into the Beethoven Violin Concerto. Soprano Madison Hatten will continue the intimate performance with breathtaking renditions of Mozart’s aria Et incarnatus est from the Great Mass in C minor and Johann Strauss’s Fruhlingsstimmen. Capping off an evening of unforgettable classical favorites is Tchaikovsky’s dramatic Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture.
All performances will be conducted by Maestro James Rawie.
