Mark Mackay Live in Truckee
Native Truckee musician and country-rocker Mark Mackay is live on tour and coming to Truckee for one night only! Mackay invites the Tahoe-Truckee community to his performance at the Community Arts Center on Church Street. Mackay is graciously donating all ticket proceeds to the non-profit Tahoe Truckee School of Music (TTSM).
Mark Mackay is an uninhibited guitarist with songwriting seeped in storytelling authenticity. He finds himself at the crossroads of country and rock ‘n’ roll. A vagabond with a jubilant charisma and uncanny ability to transcribe creative odyssey to song - manifested in a road-warrior with an eagerness to illustrate his work in a live, all-consuming performance. He plays to huge crowds all over the country, stadium sized audiences; sharing the bill with artists who spanned the spectrum-from Blake Shelton to REO Speedwagon to Tim McGraw and Richie Sambora.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Select TTSM students will perform at 7:00 p.m. followed by Mackay and his band.
