Mark Mackay Live in Concert
Native Truckee musician and country-rocker Mark Mackay and his band are coming from Nashville to return to Mark’s roots for one night only!
Mackay invites the Tahoe-Truckee community to his performance on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024 at the Community Arts Center on Church Street. Mackay is graciously donating all of the proceeds to the non-profit Tahoe Truckee School of Music (TTSM).
Doors open at 6pm. Selected TTSM students will perform at 6:30 p.m. followed by Special Guest Opener Jack Pavlina and then Mackay and his band. Drinks are available for purchase courtesy of Alibi Ale House. TTSM will offer a silent auction for a chance to win fantastic prizes.
“This show has a special meaning for me. First of all, going to music school and taking piano lessons is how I got started in the music industry,” says Mark. “I think we all need to do a better job of encouraging people to play instruments! Second, Truckee was home to me many years ago when I worked in the ski industry and I’m always happy to come back and help the local community. They are the greatest folks up there.”
