Tahoe Truckee School of Music, Mark MacKay Benefit Concert
Event Description:

Native Truckee musician Mark Mackay invites the Tahoe community to his performance on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022 at the Community Arts Center on Church Street. Mark is graciously donating all of the proceeds to the non-profit Tahoe Truckee School of Music (TTSTM). Limited tickets are available at the door so be sure to purchase in advance. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Select TTSM students will perform at 7:00 p.m., followed by Mark Mackay’s band. Drinks are available for purchase courtesy of Alibi Ale House. TTSM will offer raffle tickets and a silent auction for a chance to win fantastic musical prizes.

Mark Mackay is an uninhibited guitarist with songwriting seeped in storytelling authenticity. He finds himself at the crossroads of country and rock ‘n’ roll. A vagabond with a jubilant charisma and uncanny ability to transcribe creative odyssey to song - manifested in a road-warrior with an eagerness to illustrate his work in a live, all-consuming performance. He plays to huge crowds all over the country, stadium sized audiences; sharing the bill with artists who spanned the spectrum-from Blake Shelton to REO Speedwagon to Tim McGraw and Richie Sambora. Mark is comfortable with all ends of the wide-ranging variety.
