Bill Watson, Chief Executive & Curator of Thunderbird Lake Tahoe, will speak about "saving Lake Tahoe's art and history through Thunderbird Lodge and Yacht."

The Thunderbird Lodge National Historic Site is the centerpiece of Thunderbird Lake Tahoe. This historic home of George Whittell, Jr. is a museum and learning center for the charitable programs of the non-profit Thunderbird Lodge Preservation Society.

Thunderbird Lake Tahoe is also home to one of America's most recognizable and valuable wooden speedboats, the venerable Thunderbird yacht. Since America's Great Depression, Thunderbird has transported guests in opulent luxury between high-mountain estates and luxury resorts. Join us at Tahoe Maritime Museum as Bill Watson kicks off our Winter Lecture Series!
