Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day Hosted by Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District
Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District will be holding its annual Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Nevada residents can bring household hazardous materials to Fire Station 23 for safe and proper disposal.
We accept: paint (oil based), oil, antifreeze, flammable liquids, cleaning supplies, batteries, garden chemicals, and pesticides. All materials must be in a sealed and labeled container.
We DO NOT accept: radioactive materials, medical waste, tires, explosives, electronics, or unidentified materials. Latex paint may be disposed of in your normal trash if it is dry. To dry, leave paint can with the lid off or pour the paint onto a plastic sheet.
