Event Description:

This January, warm up your evenings at the Alder Creek Adventure Center with a FREE Winter Speaker Series featuring snow sports enthusiasts, athletes and adventure voices you’ll want to hear. Each event offers a different topic, ranging from life on the World Cup circuit and weather forecasting to bucket-list expedition planning and the rich history behind Tahoe Donner Cross Country.

SCHEDULE:
Jan. 10: TDXC at 40 with Glenn Jobe + Peter Werbel
Founders Glenn Jobe and Peter Werbel share the history behind Tahoe Donner Cross Country — how the trails, community and Olympic roots all came to be.

Jan. 16: Traveling the World with Nordic Skis with Mindy Benton
Long-distance Nordic ski legend and instructor Mindy Benton takes us around the world on skis with stories from epic trails and races.

Jan. 23: The Art of Grooming XC Trails with Per Hurtig + Briant Bergot
Go Behind the Scenes of TDXC trail grooming and hear from the folks who make our winter magic happen.

Jan. 30: Backyard to Base Camp Q&A with Caroline Pemberton
Adventure planning and big-mountain inspiration from Caroline — practical tips and stories from “Backyard to Base Camp.”
