Family + Friends Rock Climbing Clinic

Event Description:

Join us for an adventurous day on the rocks at our Family + Friends Rock Climbing Clinic! Whether you're new to the sport or a seasoned climber, this professionally guided experience on iconic Donner Summit offers a fun challenge for all levels. All equipment is provided—just bring your sense of adventure! Tahoe Donner will provide shuttle service to and from the climbing site. We’ll reach out one week prior to collect climbing shoe sizes.

Skills covered can include:

Knots: Learn essential knots for climbing.
Traditional Anchors: Build and assess rock-solid anchors.
Rappelling and Lowering: Master the techniques of rappelling and lowering safely.
Belaying: Improve your belaying skills for various climbing scenarios.
Rock Movement: Improve your movement and technique on rock.
Family Rock Climbing: Enjoy a family-friendly climbing experience.

All necessary safety gear, including harnesses, ropes, helmets and climbing shoes, will be provided. Bring your enthusiasm and get ready for a day of climbing excitement!

All youth participants (ages 7-17) must be accompanied and registered by a parent or guardian.
