Beacon & Eggs
Event Description:
Join the Alpine Patrol team for Beacon & Eggs!
Avalanche beacons will be buried in a one-acre area and competitors will work individually or in teams of up to four people to locate them. Competitors can redeem a found beacon for prizes. This is a free event, and registration takes place at the top of Subway chair from 10am -11:30am. The beacon search will be starting at noon.
*Guests should bring their own avalanche beacon, probe and shovel*
Sierra Avalanche Center will have a booth at the event and the Alpine Avalanche Rescue Foundation (AARF) dogs and handlers will be there for a dog search demonstration.
