Event Description:
The Truckee Demonstration Garden is a local resource for learning how to garden in our high elevation landscape, and it also donates 100% of its harvests to Sierra Senior Services Meals-On-Wheels program. We are able to grow, harvest and deliver 200+ pounds of food each year to our local seniors thanks to our incredible volunteers. Help us with our mission by volunteering!
We have many opportunities for volunteers, both during the week and at our Saturday Community Dig-Ins. Join us on Harvest Mondays from 8am-11am to help us harvest the bounty and deliver to the Sierra Senior Services, or Work Wednesdays from 9am-12pm to get your hands in the dirt!
