Historical Snowshoe Tours
Join us for Historical Snowshoe Tours at Donner Memorial State Park, offered every Saturday January through March (weather permitting). These engaging 90-minute tours depart from the Visitor Center and are guided by knowledgeable park staff and volunteers. Along the 1.5-mile route, participants will enjoy educational stops at notable locations, including the Pioneer Monument, the Murphy Cabin site, and unique natural landmarks.
Participants should bring their own snowshoes, warm clothing, and sun protection. In the event of insufficient snow, tours may transition to walking tours, where traction devices on boots are recommended. Tours will be canceled during unsafe weather conditions such as heavy storms or road closures.
Parking fees are $10 per vehicle or $9 for seniors aged 62 and older. Annual Passes are accepted.
