Guided Birding Walk
In partnership with the Sierra Club and TINS, join us in learning more about the birds that we see in the Washoe Meadows State Park.
Welcome our feathered friends back to the Tahoe Basin for the summer season with the Tahoe Institute for Natural Sciences! Stroll through the lush meadows of Washoe Meadows State Park while gaining expert insight into the bird species of Tahoe. The walk will be non-strenuous and all birding levels are welcome. While we love your furry friends, the birds do not. Please leave your dogs at home to avoid scaring off potential sightings.
This walk is considered easy with the trails in Washoe Meadows State Park being relatively flat, and we are planning to be out there for a few hours. Due to this being an outdoor educational hike, 1 registration is for 1 person, and there will be an accompanied waiver is required with the registration.
We recommend bringing walking shoes, water bottles, sunscreen, and snacks. Any naturalist guides and binoculars would be great! More information will be sent out the week of the event, and we require registration for this event due to limited capacity.
If you would like to attend, please RSVP as there is a limited capacity.
