New Orleans, A Night in the Big Easy
Reno Jazz Orchestra will let the good times roll this summer as they present “New Orleans ~ A Night in the Big Easy’ on Saturday, July 28th at Wingfield Park in Reno, NV and on Monday, July 30th at Sand Harbor State Park at Lake Tahoe in Incline Village, NV.
“It’s a night of musical Mardi Gras magic,” said Chuck Reider, Music Director of the Reno Jazz Orchestra. “Our 17-piece jazz orchestra and featured vocalists will take the crowd on a tour of the Big Easy that will set feet stompin’ and souls swinging.”
According to Reider, the concert will showcase “swaggering music and songs” with the Reno Jazz Orchestra presenting brass bands, big bands, and the bold rooted blues improvised with a “healthy dose of funk to highlight the quintessential heart and soul of New Orleans.”

The lineup includes live music and songs from the classic Dixieland of Louis Armstrong to the ‘Second Line’ to the Big Easy’s number one son, Doctor John the Night Tripper.
