The following are highlights from today’s Washoe County Board of County Commissioners meeting:
1. Washoe County Manager’s Office receives prestigious Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
2. Washoe County Emergency Management receives state grant to fight terrorism
3. Board approves state funding for the Sparks Recovery Court
4. Board approves numerous donations to county programs and departments
5. Commissioners allocate District Special Funds
6. Board conducts public hearing to amend Master Plan and regulatory zone related to Highland Village II

August 22-26 – RISE Week – The 1st week of the 2022-23 school year will be a week of on-site team building and social-emotional curriculum for students and staff led by professionals to kick off the school year and build unity. RISE Week was the main Fund-a-Need project featured at the 40th Annual Crab Feed in March and the IHS community raised funds to pay for the week plus additional funds to support the school’s technology needs. We need your help again to make this a successful event.
