New Services Available at the Incline Village Library

... The Incline Village Library also offers weekend access to the public meeting room and will soon launch the Library To Go lending kiosk. Library To Go is like a vending machine for books where children and adults can choose and check out their next great read, even when the library is closed.

Washoe County Library System Director Jeff Scott says, “We are thrilled to be able to provide 24/7 library services at the Incline Village Library through our new library bookmachine. This book vending machine can hold over 200 books and provides a variety of materials for all ages. One of the top needs as identified by our strategic planning process was access to books and access to a variety of books.”

2022 marks the 12th annual Ullr Fest held at Diamond Peak Ski Resort and benefits the Diamond Peak Ski Education Foundation (DP Ski Team).

This popular annual community event features a torchlight parade, a bonfire, music, raffles, food & drink specials, and a lot of smiles! The entire event is being held outdoors this year, so dress in your best Ullr Festival costumes and pray for snow.

A Message from Kim Warren, TCF's Outgoing Executive Director

Alyce, we welcome you with great enthusiasm and with open arms and hearts. You have already been an incredible asset to TCF through your commitment, service, and leadership as a TCF parent, volunteer, and board member. We are so grateful you are stepping into the ED leadership position full of zest!

TCF family and fans, it has been an honor to serve as TCF's executive director for five years. I will be eternally grateful for the support and encouragement I have received. As a small nonprofit, we are only able to accomplish the valuable work we do because of the help from our community. Thank you!

Alyce and I will work closely together over the next two months to ensure a smooth and successful transition. With Alyce's leadership and passion, support from our wonderful families and incredible Board, and with the generosity from our phenomenal community, TCF will continue to thrive.

It is with a full heart and much excitement that I pass the ED torch to Alyce Cady. I am excited about TCF's next chapter and mine. I will get to soak up more time with Nash, travel over summer, and work on a children's book. You'll still bump into me around town, see me on TCF's sideline cheering, and find me on the Fall Fest dance floor boogying.

I am filled with immense gratitude for my time at TCF and I hold great hope for what's ahead. Thank you for being a part of the journey.

The first tree that comes into admiration while hiking the high Sierras is the old growth Sierra Juniper. It’s misshapen and gnarled branches and body stand alone amongst fields of granite. After such a hike I am most often subject to a refreshing gin and tonic. For years, the forager in myself would ponder the application of such a terrain dominating tree in such a juniper dominated spirit.
