Alpine will be closed on Mondays & Tuesdays, and Palisades will be closed on Wednesdays & Thursdays. We'll still be open daily at one side or the other through the entire month of May, with both sides open Friday - Sunday. Normally, we would not operate both resorts this late into the season and we saw this year as an opportunity to provide extended skiing and riding at both Alpine and Palisades, providing more terrain choices, and different experiences, and as a way to provide continuing access for both Alpine and Palisades loyalists.

In the three films featured, we will learn how agriculture can fight climate change, the importance of reconnecting food pathways for indigenous tribes and how we can all hold corporations accountable for degrading the environment. For now we'll have it open on weekends, with weather being the obvious caveat. As the weather improves, we'll have it open 7 days a week, with the Sand Bar and patio not far behind.

Taste The Wine For Charity

The 2nd annual Tahoe League for Charity Wine Tasting and Auction will return to the Tahoe Yacht Club in Tahoe City on June 4 from 4PM-7PM.

Wines from four California wineries--Black Kite Cellars, Truckee River Winery, La Clos Chance and Ardzrooni Wines--will be available for sampling. And tasty hors d’oeuvres by chefs Marlies Pendarvis and John Sakrison will be served.

There will be door prizes and a silent and live auction of valuable items and experiences, such as a week in a Palm Desert home, boat rides, dinner at some of Tahoe’s best restaurants and themed baskets filled with surprising goodies.

For twenty-five years, TLC has awarded more than $300,000 in scholarships and grants to non-profits around the lake. Grants have been made to Sierra Senior Services, Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care, Girls On the Run, Wylie Animal Rescue Foundation, Tahoe Institute for Natural Science (TINS), Headwaters Science Institute, Friends of Kings Beach Library and Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue.
