The BEAR League is working with partners in hopes of launching a pilot program as a potential solution to stop mother bears from teaching their cubs to break into houses. PZP is a vaccination that prevents eggs from being fertilized, and it has a high efficacy rate when administered annually. The goal would be to target sows who display unwanted behavior of breaking into human environments to forage. This vaccination would prevent the bear from reproducing, and thus break the cycle of teaching that behavior to their cubs.

We are happy to announce another edition of "Mimosa Fest". Mimosa Fest is a daytime dance party focusing on our favorite cocktail, the almighty, MIMOSA! There will be a mimosa menu and brunch snacks. The DJ duo, Time Splitters will be providing the soundtrack. Celebrate spring with Mimosa Fest in the Crown Room!

This only happens because of you.The Tahoe City Fireworks Show is 100% community-funded—and every year, it continues because locals and visitors choose to support it. The 78th show returns July 4 at 9:30 PM, lighting up the sky from a barge off Commons Beach. But before that happens, fundraising has to happen. This year’s celebration also marks 250 years of the United States and 175 years of California, with events happening all around town:
• Family Fun Zone — July 3
• Fireworks over the lake — July 4
• Live music + entertainment — July 4–5 throughout Tahoe City, the West Shore, and Alpine Meadows

The historic gardens at the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion are a centerpiece of Sugar Pine Point State Park, but they need your help to truly flourish. This Big Day of Giving, we’ve set a goal to raise $2,500 to purchase native wildflowers, mulch, and essential supplies to plant and maintain the garden. 🌼🌷🌻

These blooms won't just beautify the park...they’ll restore the lush, vibrant landscape that the Hellman-Ehrman family once enjoyed.
