Memorial Day weekend 2023 ride to the snow up Tunnel Creek Road. Made it to the historic tunnel site about half a mile below the North side of the Marlette Flume Trail (@300 vertical feet). Lots of snow on the road! Crossed maybe half a dozen snow drifts to get there. It is still going to be a few weeks before enough snow melts to do the entire ride from Spooner Lake. We are renting bike path bikes for the east shore trail. First shot is the south side of the Incline flume. Middle is above the tunnel site. Third is looking south.

Our heroes! State park maintenance and forestry crews are working overtime clearing the trails and service roads into Emerald Bay! Keeping our fingers crossed for a Saturday opening of the Vikingsholm Visitor Center and Vikingsholm tours. Hellman-Ehrman Mansion tours and the Sugar Pine Point State Park Visitor Center also open Saturday! Campground openings are still delayed for another two weeks or so.

Attention! Our dog friendly patio is now open for the summer weather permitting. It's the perfect time to grab your dog and enjoy a cocktail in the sun!
