Flume Trail Snow Report: Rode from the shop in Incline up Tunnel Creek Road to the Flume Trail. Still some snow the last half mile before the Flume Trail not too bad to hike over maybe half a dozen drifts. The Flume section is pretty much snow free and in good shape. Marlette Lake still has some ice from the winter. Still quite a bit of snow on the west side of Marlette Lake. I did not continue to spooner but turned around. We are still thinking a couple of weeks for enough snow to melt to ride from spooner and start with shuttles. And had a bear drop by the shop!

This is a story about Lorraine Burke Haas, a Tahoe goddess that has become a regular favorite of mine. She has a flight mission each time we fly with a specific route to see her special stomping grounds surrounding Fallen Leaf Lake. With an incredible history living and working in the South Lake Tahoe/Fallen Leaf Lake area, I learn so much from Lorraine about the incredible history and my love of the surrounding Tahoe area keeps growing. She is an incredible lady, and her everlasting beauty compliments the South Lake Tahoe and Fallen Leaf Lake area. I feel so lucky to have the privilege of sharing flights with extraordinary people such as Lorraine.
