Home Accessories
Esther & Larry Bousquet of Truckee create handcrafted pillows, table runners, placemats, tote bags, grocery tote bags and the ALL NEW "Tahoe Tote" reusable sandwich and snack bags created with the highest attention to detail and quality. The “Tahoe Tote” can also be attached to a belt loop, backpack or stroller to carry cellphones, keys, ChapStick or important items. Tahoe Totes are made locally, using 100 percent cotton outer fabrics and Eco-PUL Fabric on the interior, which is is a waterproof, medical grade and food safe fabric. These sandwich/snack bags will save hundreds of plastic baggies from entering our environment and landfills,” says the couple.
Lathe Turned Wood
Artist Vincent Marshall of Placerville, California uses wood from local fallen trees and a wood lathe to create stunning art that may be admired on a shelf or put to practical use. A talented and versatile artist who has been creating art and furniture most of his life, Vincent approaches each piece individually and draws inspiration from the wood itself ultimately allowing the wood to dictate the finished piece. “Wood is a very exciting medium because it has so much depth,” he says. “It is almost like it is living because it is always changing. Each layer brings new texture and design."
Hand Painted Silk
Joyita Ghose of Milpitas, California is a self-taught artist who became fascinated with a silk painting she saw at an art fair and has since researched, explored, and mastered the medium. With each scarf painting, myriads of colors and designs combine together to create a story. Joyita draws inspiration from her surroundings, and her deep appreciation of ancient folk art imbues her consciousness with thoughts that come alive through her beautiful, colorful work.
Jewelry
A chemist turned painter and now jewelry designer, Ava Austin has developed her own enameling technique she's trademarked as "Fa Paint." Individually handcrafted in Sonoma County, California, these unique, intricately designed copper core "Fa Cuffs" or "Fine Art Cuffs" are lightweight, adjustable and waterproof. Ava’s creations are great for layering and adding a pop of color to your wrist.
