Gatekeeper's MuseumTahoe Dogs

Celebrate our beloved fur-ever friends and their history in Tahoe dating back to the early 20th century. This community exhibit features video clips of local dogs in their Tahoe element along with information on working dogs and the canine companions of characters in history like Snowshoe Thompson and Harry Johansson. Watch Heidi the Dachshund win 3rd place at the Pee Wee dog sled races with her custom sled in 1962 in this fun-filled exhibit.
