Spring Herbs as Food & Medicine
with Clinical Herbalist Mary McCallum of Mountain Song
Spring is a season of renewal - a time when tender greens and vibrant herbs emerge to nourish, cleanse, and awaken the body.
In this one-hour, hands-on class, you’ll learn how to work with spring herbs as both food and medicine. Clinical Herbalist Mary McCallum will guide you through the foundational principles of seasonal herbalism, exploring how these plants support digestion, detoxification, energy, and overall vitality after winter.
Together, we’ll craft a seasonal herbal preparation to take home, and you’ll leave with recipes, practical tools, and inspiration to continue creating your own spring herbal remedies in the kitchen.
Participants will go home with:
– A handcrafted herbal medicine made in class
– Seasonal recipes featuring spring herbs
– Practical guidance for incorporating herbs into daily meals
Before or after class, join us for Savor Sunday in the cafe from 10:00am–3:00pm. Enjoy seasonal dishes and herb-inspired drinks featuring the same spring herbs explored in class.
Space is limited.
