Event Description: 

Join us for a free viewing of the documentary "Knock Down the House," an inspiring film about four women running for Congress against powerful incumbents, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Tuesday, June 18 from 6pm-8pm in the Board/Aspen Room of Lake Tahoe Community College, located in the library building. Brought to you by LTCC's Equity Department and student Debate Club, this inspiring film is free to watch, and all are welcome!

"Knock Down the House," directed by Rachel Lears, tells the story of four progressive women candidates and their campaigns for Congress in the November 2018 midterm elections. Watch as Ocasio-Cortez, Amy Vilela, Cori Bush and Paula Jean Swearengin face off against some of the most powerful Democratic incumbents in Washington, making history along the way and changing the face of politics forever.
