Event Description: 

The South Lake Tahoe Earth Day Festival, a volunteer-run, non-profit event, is one of the largest environmental education gatherings in the area. It provides local residents and visitors an opportunity to learn about the various environmental issues that affect South Lake Tahoe. The Festival recognizes, celebrates and promotes our unique environment by educating the public about the preservation and protection of our local and global natural resources.

Shift 2: 1 pm – 3 pm
Shift 3: 3 pm – 5 pm

Are you passionate about the environment and helping Keep Tahoe Blue? Sign up for a shift to help outreach to the community about the work the League is doing and ways to Keep Tahoe Blue. Our theme this year is Lake Tahoe vs. Plastics and our booth will be centered around our litter initiatives, cleanups and a hands on activity for people to learn about plastics. This will be a fun, free community event with food, music, and Earth Day activities.

What to bring: Comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate layers, Keep Tahoe Blue gear if you have it, a full reusable water bottle and snacks.

We provide: Training, name tag, refreshments and gift.
