'An Extraordinary Life in Fire' w/ Author Clare Frank
Event Description:
Clare Frank, the first female Chief of Fire Protection in California will discuss her life as a firefighter as chronicled in her debut novel, Burnt: A Memoir of Fighting Fire. She began firefighting at age 17 and worked her way through the ranks, handling fire and rescue emergencies in both urban and rural settings. Her book has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle, New York Times and various other publications.
