Tahoe Yellow Cress Restoration at Baldwin Beach
Join us in protecting Tahoe Yellow Cress, a delicate yellow-flowering plant that grows only along the shores of Lake Tahoe. This rare native species is listed as endangered in California and plays an important role in the health of Tahoe's unique beach ecosystem. Keep Tahoe Blue is partnering with the United States Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit and the Tahoe Regional Panning Agency to support Tahoe Yellow Cress recovery by planting native cress in protected areas, removing invasive terrestrial weeds, and cleaning up litter along the beach. Volunteer with us to make a direct impact on one of Tahoe's most vulnerable native plants and help restore critical beachfront habitat at Baldwin Beach.
