Snapshot Day is a citizen science water quality monitoring event that takes place every May with the goal of connecting the community with its watershed. Volunteer Team Leaders and Team Members needed! No experience necessary, all ages welcome.
Snapshot Day Volunteers fan out across the Truckee River Watershed to take water samples from creeks, streams and smaller lakes, as well as Lake Tahoe itself, to get a snapshot in time of the water quality of the Tahoe-Truckee watershed.
The South Lake Tahoe region is still looking for Team Leaders and Team Members! No experience necessary, all ages welcome. If you’d like to participate in Snapshot Day 2021, complete this interest form and receive updates.
For safety, volunteering as a family unit or "pod" is preferred.
