Tahoe Bear Fest
The second annual Tahoe Bear Fest at Spooner Lake State Park is a free, family-friendly event celebrating Tahoe's iconic black bears and the community's role in keeping them wild. Hosted by the Tahoe Interagency Bear Team (TIBT), there will be food and beverage vendors, local and regional artisans, as well as community partners!
Explore the interactive booths and demonstrations led by wildlife professionals, and go on the guided "Bear Walk" hikes along the Spooner Lake Trail. While you are here, enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers served by Nevada State Parks (available for a small donation) and grab an iced or hot coffee from Red White and Brew Coffee.
The guided "Bear Walk" hikes will take place at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. led by Carson City Parks, Recreation, and Open Space.
