2nd Annual Balls in the Ruff Golf Tournament
The Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe will host its second annual Balls in the Ruff Golf Tournament, a unique tournament set to benefit the homeless pets in and around our community.
The scramble-style tournament, to be held at noon on Friday, Sept. 8 at the Tahoe Donner Golf Course, will include fun contests throughout the event. Entry costs $150, including 18 holes of golf with cart, box lunch, a golfer goody bag and an awards dinner.
“Pet-themed contests throughout the course will make this the most fun you have playing golf this year,” said Stephanie Nisler, executive director of the Humane Society.
The golf tournament is presented by the Law Offices of Molsby & Bordner, LLP. A hole-in-one hole, sponsored by Tanamera Construction, has a $10,000 prize for a hole-in-one. A barbecue dinner, sponsored by Emerald Bay Wealth management, will be held at the Tahoe Donner Lodge after play with golfer goody bags sponsored by Metropolitan Electrical Construction. There will also be a raffle and other fun contest holes on the course, including a Wheel of “Furtune” and the Golf Ball Cannon Hole, which is sure to be a blast!
Go to hstt.org to find out how to register, and how to purchase additional dinner tickets for those not playing, which are $40.
