Event Description:
Come join us at the Train Depot, downtown Truckee for a Ribbon Cutting Kickoff to a summer full of walks and talks! Representatives from the Town of Truckee and the involved Historical Society's will be on site to give a bit of a talk and then to answer any questions about pending events or just the history of the Transcontinental Railroad. The Last Spike (The Gold One!) was put into the ground at 12:00PM NOON in Promontory, Utah on May 10, 1869.
