On May 20, there will be a dedication ceremony for the George Wyman Memorial Plaque to be unveiled at the Truckee Visitors Center at the Old Railroad Depot.

May 20th, Plaque Dedication: George Wyman, First Motorcycle Rider over Donner Summit and going Cross Country. The George A. Wyman Memorial Project (http://wymanmemorialproject.blogspot.com/) The foundation has presented a plaque and road sign to the Visitors Welcome Center in Truckee.

The plaque and road sign will be presented and dedication on this date which is the anniversary date of Mr. Wyman being in Truckee in 1903. There will be a commemorative motorcycle ride from the site of the old Summit Hotel (across from Donner Ski Ranch) to the Visitors Welcome Center at the Old Train Depot in Truckee.
