About ‘Becoming Buffett’
Longtime Lake Tahoe resident Darin Talbot’s Becoming Buffett tribute features two distinct impersonations of Jimmy Buffett. The first set, Classic Buffett, captures the 1970s beach-era look—long hair and mustache included. After a brief intermission and costume change, the second set, License to Chill, showcases Buffett’s later style with aviator sunglasses, baseball cap, and wristbands.
Talbot performs Buffett favorites on his custom “Bubbles Up” guitar. In 2025, he was officially recognized as a Margaritaville Approved entertainer and now performs on Margaritaville cruises, at venues, and in retirement communities.
