Northern Lights Tahoe in Incline Village Starts This Weekend

The joy is palpable. Surrounding you, in all directions, are smiling faces and cheeks rosy with the kiss of winter. Singing, holiday lights and greetings from Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus – all of these enliven that loving warmth that comes with the sharing of the holiday spirit.

Where is this scenario a reality? At the Northern Lights Festival, that's where.

An absolute favorite for coming together for the holidays, the Northern Lights Festival is a long-celebrated tradition in the Incline Village area. An event that began in the 1990s, the festival is a blend of many different gatherings that celebrate the joy of the holidays. From the Santa Crawl to the Community Tree Lighting, from enjoying brunch with Santa to the Tahoe Film Fest, the fun is literally never-ending for an entire month.

Local businesses created the Northern Lights Festival to showcase the love, beauty and community connection that is alive and well in Lake Tahoe. This collaborative event helps show visitors the amazing traditions that the Tahoe locals hold to their hearts as well as the many shops that aid in holiday gift-giving. The event also offers lodging to visitors at discounts that they wouldn't find at any other time of year.

Be sure to put the Northern Lights Festival on your calendar from November 27 to December 31. It will make your holiday season that much more cheery and bright. Oh, and if you would like to volunteer, they are always in need of helping hands. If you go, of course you should plan to wear a mask to follow Nevada's COVID safety guidelines.
