Lake Tahoe's vibrant music scene is getting started, and the summer is going to be filled with incredible ways to enjoy outdoor live music. From bluegrass to karaoke, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Here's a look at 12 exciting live music options coming up that are certain to get you grooving and tapping your feet.

Sunday Bluegrass Jam/Open Stage Sundays/Karaoke Fridays

Alibi Ale Works, Truckee and Alibi Ale Works, Incline Village

If you're in the mood for a lively jam session, head over to Alibi Ale in Truckee on Sundays, June 4 and 11. Whether you're an experienced musician or just starting out, this welcoming gathering promises a friendly group and an opportunity for all levels to participate. Bring your favorite bluegrass, country or folk songs to share or simply strum along and enjoy the musical camaraderie. For those looking to showcase their talent, Alibi Truckee hosts supercharged open mic nights every Sunday. Depending on the number of signups, participants may have the chance to perform two to three songs each, making it a vibrant showcase of local talent.

Show times are 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Held at the Truckee Regional "Salty" Gebhardt Amphitheater, this event welcomes all ages and invites you to revel in the tunes of talented musicians against the backdrop of the beautiful Truckee scenery.

Dates are June 23, July 28, August 11 and September 1, and times are 5 to 8 p.m.

Bluesdays

Palisades Tahoe

Immerse yourself in the soulful sounds of blues at Bluesdays in the Village at Palisades Tahoe. With an outdoor blues bar, delectable food offerings from Village restaurants and the option to bring your own low-backed chair, you can settle in for an evening of captivating blues melodies. These events are held on Tuesdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. through August 29.

Wooleystar Music Festival

For a unique festival experience, Wooleystar Music Festival in Markleeville is not to be missed. This intimate weekend event offers live music, film screenings and camping amidst the stunning Sierra Nevada landscape. Featuring an impressive lineup of artists, including The Brothers Comatose, Margo Cilker and Grammy-nominated group Los Cenzontles, this festival promises a weekend of entertainment, community and unforgettable moments. The festival runs from June 16 to 18.
