Men on Boats at Valhalla Tahoe in South Lake Tahoe

July 13 to 15

Prepare to embark on an unforgettable journey as Valhalla Tahoe presents Men on Boats. This comedic play reimagines the true-ish history of an 1869 expedition, featuring a crew of intrepid female and nonbinary actors charting the course of the Colorado River. Through humor and wit, the production challenges traditional notions of history and showcases the adventurous spirit of Lake Tahoe. Gamblers Run Music Festival at Crystal Bay Club in Crystal Bay

July 14 to 16

Enjoy three days of live music on the indoor and outdoor stages of Crystal Bay Club. The music festival shows start daily at 1 p.m. and run until 8 p.m., and there are after parties all three nights. Enjoy bands like Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Shovels & Rope, Dustbowl Revival, Hot Buttered Rum, Moon Hooch, Younder Mountain String Band, Tauk and so many more. A three-day pass is $200, and daily passes cost $75.

Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival’s Little Shop of Horrors at Sand Harbor

Through August 20

Experience the magic of theater against the stunning backdrop of Lake Tahoe at the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival's production of Little Shop of Horrors. Follow the tale of a flower shop assistant whose life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters a mysterious plant with sinister intentions. This campy and cheerful performance has enchanted audiences worldwide for more than three decades. Prepare to be enthralled by the performances and the enchanting setting. Tickets range in price from $22 to $100.

Tahoe Improv Comedy Players at Valhalla Tahoe in South Lake Tahoe

July 18 & August 8

Get ready to laugh your heart out as the Tahoe Improv Comedy Players celebrate their 30th anniversary with a series of hilarious shows. Returning to their roots, these improv veterans kick off each performance with a Comedy Sportz matchup, followed by side-splitting scenes crafted on the spot from audience suggestions. This family-friendly event promises an evening of non-stop laughter and entertainment for everyone. Tickets range in price from $12 to $20.

Bass Camp Festival VI

July 28 to 30

For electronic dance music enthusiasts, the Bass Camp Festival is a must-attend event. This year, the festival finds its new home at Wingfield Park in Downtown Reno, featuring three days of live music across multiple stages. With a lineup boasting renowned DJs and artists such as Deadmau5, Madeon, and A-Trak, Bass Camp Festival guarantees an electrifying experience filled with pulsating beats, exciting performances and immersive visuals. A three-day event pass costs $275, whereas the Saturday pass costs $129. 

16th Annual Truckee Brewfest, hosted by Truckee Optimist Club

August 5

Indulge in the flavors of the local craft beer scene at the 16th Annual Truckee Brewfest. Hosted by the Truckee Optimist Club, this event offers a delightful blend of award-winning craft breweries, homebrews, live music and festival food. You can even participate in the People's Choice awards, casting your vote for your favorite craft brew and homebrew in different categories. Join the festivities and savor the vibrant beer culture of the region. Tickets range in price from $5 for designated drivers to $45 for general entry ($50 at the gate). 6th Annual Tahoe Brewfest, hosted by Boys & Girls Club of South Lake Tahoe

August 26

End your summer on a high note at the 6th Annual Tahoe Brewfest. This lively event, hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of South Lake Tahoe, celebrates the unique mountain culture of the region. With more than 40 breweries, a beer bar, local vendors, food offerings, live music, street entertainment and games, the Tahoe Brewfest promises a fun-filled day for beer enthusiasts and families alike.
