Father's Day is this Sunday, June 16.

To help celebrate the most important guy in your world, here is a list of seven superb things to do. From enjoying the outdoors to taking some alone time together for just Mom and Dad, this list will help your fatherly figure feel loved and appreciated.

Tahoe Beach Retreat & Lodge Luau: If stunning sunsets, excellent food and exceptional entertainment in the form of hula dancers sound like a good time for Dad, then check out Tahoe Beach Retreat & Lodge’s Luau on Saturday, June 15. Beginning at 6 p.m., this festive occasion offers island-inspired drinks, a buffet featuring Kalua Pork and an incredible show offered by Pacific Hula dancers. Tickets are $65 for adults and $32 for children younger than age 12. Included is the buffet, entertainment, a mai tai drink for the adults and a beautiful Hawaiian lei for each member of the party. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and doors open at 5:30 p.m. This event occurs once a month.

Ponderosa Golf Glow Ball Event: Does Dad enjoy golfing? If so, you're in luck, as Ponderosa Golf Course is hosting its Glow Ball Event. A favorite in the community, this is a nighttime gathering that lets you play with a glow ball. This is an event for people age 18 years old and older. It costs $26 for a round of golf, and the action begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.

Guided Stargazing at the Cosmoarium at Northstar: If your father figure enjoys the sparkle of a starry night and the stories that go with the constellations, then try Northstar’s Guided Stargazing at the Cosmoarium. A family-friendly event that showcases the stunning night sky, this event is superb not only for Father’s Day, but also throughout the summer as it happens every Saturday and Thursday from 8:15 to 10 p.m. Tickets cost $45 for adults and $25 for children.

Lake Tahoe AleWorx Offering: The taproom at AleWorx is offering a special gift to all dads out there with a "first beer on them" deal. Come on in, take a load off and enjoy a cold one. You deserve it, Dad! This special runs all day Sunday, June 16, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Concerts at Common Beach: If live music, a sandy beach and direct access to Lake Tahoe sound like a good time for the dad in your family, then a great occasion is Concerts at Common Beach. A weekly free outdoor concert series that occurs Sundays from 4 to 7 p.m. until September, this an excellent way to enjoy all of the great aspects of Lake Tahoe at once. From the views to the music, from the people watching to the yummy food, this is an evening that can’t be beat.

Free Magic at The Loft: For a magical evening with Dad, check out The Loft. Offering their incredible magic show free for all dads on Father’s Day, this June 16 extravaganza is all about celebrating fatherhood. The show begins at 7 p.m., and reservations are highly encouraged.

Tahoe City Kayak Full Moon Tour: For the outdoorsy dad, a fabulous way to get out and explore is to partake in Tahoe City Kayak’s once-a-month guided Full Moon Tour. This is a stunning voyage that begins at sunset and takes paddlers along the shore of Lake Tahoe watching the setting of the sun and the rising of the moon. For those renting a single kayak, the excursion is $65; it's $130 for a tandem kayak. Please be sure to call ahead for exact start time and reservation. This event also occurs on June 17 and 18, July 15, 16 and 17 as well as August 14, 15 and 16.
