The new year is fast approaching. Soon 2023 will be upon us and opportunities to fulfill resolutions will abound, but beforehand it is time to celebrate. Za's Lakefront NYE Dance Party with the Blues Monsters

You can't go wrong celebrating the coming of 2023 by being on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Za's Lakefront is setting the stage to do just that with their impressive New Year's Eve Dance Party. With live music by The Blues Monsters and a superb selection of food and cocktails to choose from, this has all of the makings for a memorable festive occasion. The Blues Monsters will be joined on stage by The Horns, making certain that your celebration will be rich in great dancing music. The party begins on Saturday, December 31, at 7 p.m. and runs until Sunday at 1:30 a.m. Tickets are $145. You must be 21 or older to attend.

Edgewood Tahoe Resort's New Year's Eve Winter Wonderland Ball

If you are looking for a celebration filled with luxury and elegance, then you must check out The Edgewood's Winter Wonderland Ball. An event that is like no other in Lake Tahoe, the backdrop is the iconic mountain chalet clubhouse, giving resort guests the best in food, drink and entertainment. Black tie attire is required, with no exceptions allowed. Keep in mind that the party is going to be held come winter storm or sunshine, so please plan accordingly. Valet parking is included. The event is on Saturday, December 31, beginning at 8:30 p.m. Tickets start at $325. There is a an age limit of 21 years and older.

Ski Town Throw Down

For those looking to start the celebration early, check out Ski Town Throw Down. A two-day affair that starts on Thursday, December 29, this is a great way to get some fun, free entertainment in before the actual countdown to 2023. An event created by Lakeview Social Tahoe, this is a culmination of impressive musicians offering an energetic lineup of musical entertainment. There will be fire pits to keep your toes warm as well as coffee, beer and food for the belly. Both days of music offer the same format, but with different musicians. Music starts at 10 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. for the first showing and from 3 to 7 p.m. for second showing. On Thursday come by to see Sean Hodgie and Bread & Butter. On Friday Jeff Connor and Porter Haus will entertain you. No ticket purchase is required. This is an all-ages show.

Tahoe Donner Festivities

Tahoe Donner is celebrating 2023 in style with multiple ways to ring in the new year. Although their New Year's Eve Dinner hosted by The Lodge Restaurant & Pub is sold out, not to fret. They are also offering two other events not to be missed. First is their guided snowshoe tour that will take you across cross-country trails at dark. The group will start out at the Alder Creek Adventure Center and will be led by a talented, experienced guide that will lead you on a journey of fun under the stars. Equipment is available if needed. The tour is on Saturday, December 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Reservations are required as space is limited. You must be 13 years old or older to attend. Tickets are $85. The second option for amusement is the LED light torch parade. An event for intermediate skiers and snowboarders that are 10 years old or older and can ride the chairlift unassisted in the dark, this is a great way to involve some excitement into your night. The parade will be held on the Eagle Rock chairlift and will go down the Race Course ski run. There will be music and snacks available to those involved at the bar area before the parade. The chair will start loading participants at 6:15 p.m. It is free to be a part of the parade.

Northstar's NYE 50th Anniversary Celebration

The Village at Northstar is celebrating its 50th year of operations with one heck of a shindig dressed up as a New Year's Eve party. Complete with all-night dancing and visual candy, this is a celebration that deserves to be on everyone's hit list. To start their next chapter of success off right, they will be hosting their first annual Drone Show, offering a magnificent display of eye pleasure matched to music. The festivities are on Saturday, December 31, starting at 5 p.m., and the Drone Show begins at 9 p.m. This is a free event for the entire family.

Lake Tahoe AleWorx New Year's Eve Masquerade Party

A party that will get you dancing with multiple DJs as well as craft cocktails, beer towers and bottle service, this is a party that is sure to go off. Not to mention, there will be a silent disco and #GoodVibesOnly. Ladies are encouraged to show up prior to 11 p.m. to take advantage of their no cover offer. The party is on Saturday, December 31, starting at 7 p.m. You must be at least 21 years old to attend.

The Cocktail Corner's NYE Prohibition Party

A themed event, it will offer drink specials and a party vibe that will make you feel like you are a part of the roaring '20s. Themed attire is highly encouraged, but not required. The party is on Saturday, December 31, starting at 7 p.m. This is a free, festive occasion for those 21 and older.

Grand Lodge Casino's New Year's Eve Party

Grand Lodge Casino is opening its doors for a celebratory bash that is sure to make you smile. There will be a live DJ spinning tunes from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., making it easy to dance the new year into action. This is an event for those 21 years of age and older. There is no ticket necessary for entrance.

New Year's Eve 2023 Ultra Lounge Party

Does enjoying gourmet cuisine, mesmerizing magic, live entertainment and hip-shaking music sound like your type of night? If so, then you must stop by The Loft Tahoe in Heavenly Village. Offering different celebration packages to choose from, The Loft lets you choose how to ring in your new year, knowing that no matter what you choose, delightful escapades are in your future. The festivities are on Saturday, December 31, beginning at 9:30 p.m. Tickets start at $100. This is a gathering for those age 21 and older.

Kirkwood Mountain's Fireworks and Torchlight Parade

Kirkwood is one of the more beautiful mountain environments in Tahoe, making it a superb place to take in its beauty while participating in their New Year's torchlight parade. The celebration is free and will end with a spectacular fireworks display. The fireworks and parade are both being held on Saturday, December 31, with festivities beginning at 5 p.m. This is a perfect event for the entire family.

The Village at Palisades Tahoe NYE Family Celebration

An event that was created with families in mind, Palisades Tahoe's NYE Family Celebration is an evening filled with torchlight parades (using LED lights instead of fire) and a free concert with rock cover band The Nomads. The parade begins at 5 p.m. and will be held on the Exhibition chairlift. The music will run from 5 to 7 p.m. on the KT Deck with a celebratory ending compete with fireworks at 7 p.m. This Saturday, December 31, event is free.

Good Wolf New Year's Eve Party

If you enjoy tasty beer with your celebrations, then a great place to ring in 2023 is at the Good Wolf New Year's Eve Party. A new brewery that is built on passion and a love for good hops, their offering for a jubilant New Year's Eve gathering is sure to be a good time had by all. The party is on Saturday, December 31, starting at 6 p.m. This is a free event for those 21 years of age and older.

RMU Roaring Twenties New Year's Eve Party

If it's important to you to surround yourself with others who love the mountains while ringing in the New Year, then the place to go is Rocky Mountain Underground (RMU). A unique place that is a bar and restaurant as well as a ski and bike shop, RMU's celebration is centered around the roaring '20s, with musical guests ViceGrip. You must be 21 years old or older to attend, and there is no cover charge. The party is on Saturday, December 31, with doors opening at 7 p.m.
