Jillian is the co-founder of The Beauty Project an eco-friendly and gender-inclusive salon and nonprofit in Midtown. They believe self-care is for everyone. In addition to their regular salon services, The Beauty Project Foundation, their 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides community-funded access to beauty services for those who may not otherwise be able to afford them.
During the swap Jillian will sit down for a brief Q&A with Dawn Cushing, one of the founders at Wildflower on 7th, to share her journey of navigating body image, self-esteem, the beauty industry, and turning those experiences into a mission to create spaces where people feel seen, heard, valued, and cared for. A hairstylist since 2013, she believes hairstyling is more than a service. It’s a way to build trust and celebrate each person’s unique beauty. Jillian works with eco-friendly, low-tox products, offers a 100% gender-inclusive service menu, and is passionate about empowering people to bring their vision to life.
Light snacks will be served.
Swap items 1 for 1 with a $10 drop in entry ticket OR join the Swap Society for "swap till you drop" unlimited shopping pass at all locations, and other perks! Swap Society members are not limited with items to take from the event.
Items accepted at the the Wildflower on 7th Swap:
- Clean gently used clothing (No rips, tears, stains or need of repair)
- Books
- Maximum of 10 items per person
- Gently used bra's for I Support The Girls Non Profit
